We visited three Hill Tribe peoples of Laos. The Hmong, the Khmu and the Lao. Each was unique, inviting and charming. The Hmong live in the highest hills, the Khmu in the mid hills and the Lao in the low hills.

They are industrious and known for living in the hills and highlands, with their homes built on bare earth in order to accommodate their livestock and protect themselves against the highland winds. The Hmong are renown as fierce fighters. The worked with the CIA during the Vietnam war.
